It just felt as if they could have been even a bit of an epilogue tacked on the end - maybe jump ahead 12 months, have the harbour rebuilt, mention the river is being deepened, ships coming and coming from treehaug and eldering city whose name eludes me at the moment.<br /><br />Perhaps mention more of the "touched" coming to live there, maybe some of the dragons had laid eggs? The elderings could be watching over some eggs as they gaze out at the barges that crowd the newly rebuilt harbour.
