Thank you for posting this!
I've been boy...Yes! Thank you for posting this!
I've been boycotting Amazon since 2006 (they were a major reason I had to close my bookshop in 2009). Its just as easy to link to other online booksellers. Most places will ship books to wherever you want.
When Amazon bought goodreads I was torn - that was my link to other booklovers. So now instead of posting reviews on goodreads, as a protest I just post a link to my review thats posted on my own review blog on tumblr. I've started an account on Riffle, but it is only slowly growing and I find it is not as user-friendly as goodreads.
I also no longer shop at any company owned by Amazon such as zappos, Audible.com, etc. I was successful in finding another audiobook site (Downpour) that I now subscribe to. Its owned by the same company that owns Kobo. I have no problem with Kobo, as a portion of my purchases there goes to my local independent bookstore.
Always trying to stay one step ahead of Amazon! Don't tell them about Downpour or they might buy that too!!RealBooks4everhttp://realbooks4ever.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.com
